How much does the program cost?

The Cyber Defense Analyst 6-month program costs $10,800 dollars.
The Cyber Defense Analyst 12-month program costs $14,400 dollars

Are scholarships available?

Yes, if you’re an NC resident you can apply for scholarships through an NCDIT grant.

How much will my tuition be discounted with a scholarship?

If you’re awarded an NCDIT scholarship, you will get a 50% discount on tuition.

Do I have to pay the total tuition amount upfront?

Yes. Loan options are available through Sallie Mae.

Are classes in-person or virtual?

The Cyber Defense Analyst 6-month program will have some in-person classes. The Cyber Defense Analyst (12-month) program is completely virtual. However, the virtual classes are live-instructor-led virtual classes.

Do you offer hands-on experience?

Yes. Our curriculum includes cyber ranges and virtual labs to supplement your coursework. You’ll also get to work with corporate employers to receive live hands-on training.

How many hours a week should I plan on devoting to completing my program?

For the Cyber Defense Analyst 6-month program you’ll be in class Monday-Friday from  8:30am to 4:30pm. This is a full-time program.

For the Cyber Defense Analyst 12-month program, you should plan on being in class for 8 hours per week, with an additional 8 hours of study outside of class time.

What is the average salary I can expect as a cybersecurity professional?

The average starting salary for an entry-level position is $55,000.
The average salary for more advanced, high-level positions range from $65,000-$105,000.

Do I have to have any previous IT training to apply?

If you’re interested in either of the Cyber Defense Analyst programs, you don’t need any previous experience. 

When do I need to apply?

Apply by June 18 for the Cyber Defense Analyst 6-month full-time program
Apply by July 30 for the Cyber Defense Analyst 12-month part-time program.

Will I get certificates that are recognized in the industry?

Our programs train you for the most recognized industry standard certifications. While our training prepares you for the certifications, you receive the certification once you pass the certifying exam.

Do you facilitate finding job positions or internships after graduating from the program?

Yes, helping you get employed is part of our top priority. Our career development specialists are available to help you tailor your search and prepare you for your interviews.

Will I get a diploma?

No. Upon successful completion of our program, you will receive a Carolina Cyber Center certificate.

Does this program give me college credits to continue my education?

Yes. Montreat College, and many others, accept your industry standard certifications toward college credit.

How many people are in the class?

We keep our classes small so you can get the support you need. Classes are limited to 20 participants.

Are the classes during the day, weekends, or after work?

The Cyber Defense Analyst full-time program runs Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
The Cyber Defense Analyst part-time program runs Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and Saturday from 9am to 1pm.
